Hi. We’re Cobble. We believe when we make better decisions together, we make better lives together. Our first product is an app that helps couples make decisions on where to eat, and what to do together. See our founder chat about launching during quarantine on Nasdaq here.
We’ve recently raised our seed round, and are thrilled to be growing our team. We hope you’re that special someone.
Minimum technical proficiencies
Any potential candidates should have all of the following technical proficiencies.
All aspects of Cobble’s software are containerized using Docker & docker-compose.
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Most of the existing infrastructure lives on AWS, and a deep knowledge of the following services is required:
Cobble’s databases live on MongoDB Atlas cloud.
The security of any digital platform being ever more important, an understanding of the core fundamentals is a must-have, and the more knowledge the better.
Additional technical proficiencies
While not required, the following technical proficiencies are good to have, and will need to be learned if not already known.
The back-end is built on a Flask/Python stack and a good understanding of it will be useful to build the right processes (testing, CI/CD, etc..)
The CMS is built using a React.js stack and a good understanding of it will be useful to build the right processes (testing, CI/CD, etc..)
While not urgent, CI/CD processes will have to be implemented as the team grows to facilitate reliable deployment strategies across several developers.
Ask questions and think critically.
Make it happen. Be thrilled to go the extra mile.
Follow the golden rule—treat others how you would like to be treated.
New growth stems from excitement, experimentation, and brainstorming. Look for spontaneous collaboration.
Be an advocate for Cobble wherever you go.
It’s only a problem if only you know it’s a problem.
We’re as inclusive as the couples who use Cobble, and the experiences we recommend.
What do you do when no one is looking?
When you graduate from Cobble in 5, 10, 15 years—how is this place different because you were here?
Something on your mind? Go to the source. Unsure of something? Be willing to ask for help.
What we do, we do well.
