There are plenty of community gardens in NYC, but The 6th & B Garden is particularly special. With over 17,000 square feet of green space, plus a pond, tiny walking paths, and lots of cozy nooks to get lost in—it'll probably become your new happy place. On any given weekend, you might find a crafts night, musical performance, community organizing, or just a tiny bit of peace and quiet in the middle of the city. Look closely and you might find a tiny library, complete with comfy seats and a great view. Donate a couple of dollars on your way out to keep this green space public.

Black Seed might not make 100% authentic New York City-style bagels, but their unique style of Montreal-meets-NYC creations are shockingly delicious. Their bagels are made with a naturally-leavened, fermented dough, boiled in NYC water with a touch of honey, and then baked in a wood-burning oven. Try one in classic Manhattan style with cream cheese, smoked salmon, onion, tomato, and capers, or go for something unique like a pizza bagel or a chopped cheese. They have tons of vegan options, but the veggie buffalo sandwich is particularly delicious.
