Find France In Flushing At This Charming Restaurant

France is the country for romance, so why not plan a visit? Of course, logistics of flying across the ocean for one date might be a bit much so here’s the next best thing: Bistro Eloise in Flushing. Brought to the neighborhood by Vincent Caro, who also owns Côté Soleil (Sunnyside/Woodside), Eloise, which he named after his two-year-old daughter, offers traditional French fare with a modern twist. The space is rustic and warm and all dishes are prepared with farm-to-table ingredients. Expect to enjoy classics like beef bourguignon, coq a vin, and crepes. If you’re up for a little culinary adventure—when in France—try the garlic snails topped with puff pastry.

Ever wanted to go to a bar where everyone knows your name? Cassidy’s Ale House could be your Cheers. After your meal, grab a pint or two at this casual neighborhood hangout. The drinks are good and well-priced and even though you probably won’t be hungry, the wings are a fool-proof crowd pleaser.
