Start your night with fun and games at Housing Works on Crosby Street. One Friday a month, the thrift store and cafe welcomes the public for booze, books, and board games. You’ll enjoy seasonal drinks and cafe specials while going head to head with your S.O. in Connect Four or Monopoly. They host a ton of other events too—visit their website here to learn more. Housing Works also serves as a community advocate for those affected by HIV/AIDS or homelessness. Whether you donate, shop, or do both, know that you’re supporting a worthwhile cause.
After, head to Pasquale Jones for some elevated ‘za. At Charlie Bird’s sister restaurant, the wine list is well-edited, the service is on point, and the wood-burning oven produces pizza that has the perfect amount of char. We know, we know—there are a lot of pizza places in Gotham worth checking out. We recommend the Littleneck Clam pizza. One slice with lemon, and Pasquale Jones will make a believer out of you.
