Hotel Hop in Gramercy at Broken Shaker & Rose Bar in the Gramercy Park Hotel
Tonight, check out the Flatiron District's newest rooftop lounge that is sure to soon become a staple in this area. Located atop the Freehand New York hotel, the former George Washington Hotel that was home to many famous creatives, musicians, and writers, Broken Shaker is staying true to its creative roots by featuring custom-commissioned artwork by Bard College students and alumni.
After taking in unobstructed views of New York City and dining on an array of fresh bites available in all shapes and sizes, continue your hotel-inspired evening by hopping over to the Gramercy Park Hotel. Inside, you will slip behind a red velvet curtain and into the Rose Bar, an intimate and swanky lounge who famously turned down entrance to Paris Hilton when it first opened in 2006 despite multiple photos of her being showcased inside. The walls of the Rose Bar are decorated with works by David LaChapelle with works including iconic photographs of Britney Spears, Tupac, Eminem, and more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this low-key A list hotspot while sipping on a cocktail (or two).
