Start off your night by indulging in our favorite kind of comfort food at Brooklyn Diner. We love their cozy booths and the quintessential diner atmosphere they project. From the chicken and waffles to the veggie burger—you'll both easily find whatever you're craving. And don't skip dessert. The triple-layered coconut cake, red velvet cake, or the classic New York cheesecake are all heavenly. P.s., this place does get crowded (it’s Times Square)—so make a reservation in advance to ensure you don’t have to wait to get started with your night.

Afterward, grab a drink at Jimmy’s Corner, a boxing-themed bar a few blocks away. Owned by Jimmy Glenn, a former trainer and cutman (the dude responsible for treating physical damage to a fighter during the breaks between rounds), this place is cool. Things we love: their jukebox, cheap drinks, and decorated walls filled with boxing photos and paraphernalia (there’s a life-size cut-out of Joe Louis nailed to the wall) courtesy of Glenn himself. With three dollar draft beers, and similarly priced cocktails, this no-frills, nondescript dive bar remains stubbornly unaffected by changing times and promises a laid-back and casual end to your night.
