Giving new meaning to Throwback Thursday, head to the Brooklyn Museum for a free gallery tour of Ancient Egyptian art. Running for an hour between 7 and 8 pm, this guided tour is one of the largest collections of Egyptian art in the US filled with a variety of over 1,200 sculptures, paintings, and pottery collections for an astonishing dive into ancient history. If you want to add some more culture to your city living, this installation will make you remember why you love NYC, given the massive scope of what it has to offer. Missed ancient Egypt? The Brooklyn Museum basically has free tours every night of the week. Check their full calendar here.

Once you’ve gotten your historical fix, make your way over to The Crown Inn for some delicious craft libations. With atmospheric lighting, classic Prohibition-era vibes, and an industrial-style setting, this hip, but classic, Prospect Heights pub is ideal for a laidback date hangout. And though the drink options are guaranteed to satisfy no matter what you settle on, you’ll definitely want to knock back some of their black cherry cider. If you prefer your drinks on tap, they offer a 16-tap bar, including 12 rotating beer selections and 4 for wine.
