This Is The Best Museum That You Haven't Been To
The Brooklyn Museum is one of Brooklyn's greatest treasures, living on the edge of Prospect Park between Prospect Heights and Crown Heights. If you haven't been, now is the time to go. Not only do they have several impeccable exhibits on view (including Rob Wynne: FLOAT that disperses Wynne's gorgeous mirrored molten-glass pieces throughout other exhibits), but they also host daily free tours of their other famous mainstays. Go for Ancient Egypt, you won't be disappointed.
Next, go from artisanal glass to artisanal cocktails at Tooker Alley. Considered both hip and “hobohemian,” this bar offers up a dimly-lit atmosphere with some intriguing cocktails. Inspired by Chicago’s Prohibition-Era Dil Pickle Club (located in the titular Tooker Alley), their “Serious Cocktails (without the seriousness)” will leave you with plenty of refreshments to test out. However, if you want the drinkable equivalent of warming yourself by a fire, we recommend the Kenta Milla Warmer.
