This Spot Seriously Elevates The Good Ol' Romantic Stroll
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
But first, let’s eat. Before you head up to the High Line (the entrance is just across the street), grab a seat at Bubby’s for some pre-stroll sustenance. This laidback, rustic-industrial restaurant feels like a Southern home away from home, with comfort food that ranges from bacon wrapped meatloaf and fried chicken & pancakes. Mmm.
Next, head up to the High Line. This NYC staple is an elevated park that runs just about a mile and a half through the city, built on the bones of the old New York Central Railroad. With amazing views of the city, incredible murals, and gardens woven meticulously in between its linear landscape, the High Line sets a ridiculously high bar for romantic strolls. What’s more is that it also doubles as the ideal form of bar-hopping in the city, with plenty of pubs and cocktail lounges lining its entire route.
