Be Chic A.F. With Dinner at Charlie Bird & Live Blues Music in Greenwich Village
Charlie Bird is Italian-American influence at its most delicious, so take your date here to start the evening off right. To call this venue hip would be an understatement, but we’ll just let the yellow leather booths and boombox-covered walls speak for themselves. Then again, maybe caramelized cauliflower, honey lacquered duck, and charcoal grilled ribeye just isn’t up your alley (said no one ever). Head there fairly early for dinner if you want to catch the 8pm show at your next destination. There's also a second performance at 10:30.
Then, it’s time for you and your date to go from Italy’s green, white, and red to the solitary blues. Blue Note is a famed Jazz club in the heart of Greenwich Village. They have performances every night (see their calendar here), but we recommend you make reservations/purchase tickets ahead of time. This is the kind of place that always has a line out the door. Once you're in, sit close at a tiny table, sip red wine and bask in this perfect moment. Bar tickets are usually $45, with tables going for $65. Great Jazz comes at a price.
