Soar Above the City and Taste the Mediterranean
Escape the crowd and reach the clouds on the 21st Floor of the Citizen M Bowery Hotel. Featuring a bright and fresh outdoor deck with benches and couches, it's an epic above-the-city experience. Drink in the sunset and a few pre-dinner cocktails with one of the best views you can get of the Lower East Side for the perfect start to any date night. With a fully enclosed indoor lounge area and spacious outside terrace, it’s a rare location where you can access the roof at any time of the year.
Outdoor seating is hard to come by in Nolita, but at Balzem there’s plenty to go around. A cute little Mediterranean neighborhood wine bar and restaurant, it is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner. The inside space features open brick walls and a large central communal table surrounded by smaller tables and wooden chairs plus a wall of wine and dim lighting. The menu reads like a postcard from the Mediterranean, featuring traditional dishes from the South of France, Italy, and reaching all the way to the Aegean coastline. Maybe start with antipasto, and finish with steak frites—what a delight.
