Dumplings and IMAX Movies—A Classic Love Story

  • Film
  • Food

Daa! Dumplings has evolved from a beloved pop-up shop making waves in the city to a permanent brick-and-mortar restaurant in Columbus Circle—so, naturally, you and yours need to check it out ASAP. Yes, its name gives away its menu options, but this place is all about the ingredients and attention to detail. Steamed or boiled, the Russian dumplings are served with all kinds of unique dipping sauces, including Georgian chili and sweet peppers. And that side pickle? It rocks. Seeing as you’re already in the Turnstyle Underground Market, succumb to your wandering impulse and check out other shops this venue has to offer.

After you’ve (over-)indulged on dumplings, make your way over to AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater to cap off a lengthy awards season. The Oscars have come and gone, so now it’s time to see whether the big winners deserved the gold. If you’ve already seen the Best Picture winner, keep your eye on other big winners. We especially love this theater becaues it has one of the largest IMAX screens in the world (it's legit humongous—book seats in the far back), and a Dolby Cinema theater too for spectacular sound.
