First, get 2020 rolling at Dirt Candy (note: they don’t serve dirt or candy). This all-white (with black accents) restaurant goes all-in on elegance, from its decor to its dishes. Offering two vegetarian tasting menus (the five-course Vegetable Patch and the ten-course Vegetable Garden), you can also opt for some of their unique shared options, like brussel sprout tacos and jalapeno hush puppies. And don’t bet against their veggie-friendly desserts, including some inspired options like the celery cheesecake roll and onion chocolate tart. If you thought vegetables couldn’t surprise you, you clearly just haven’t been to Dirt Candy yet. Plus, today they're hosting a New Years Day brunch where they'll be unveiling a long-awaited veggie burger. Make your way over there between 11-6 p.m.

Next, because it's the New Year, we think you should have a choice on what you do. Option A: Erin McKenna's Bakery for dairy-free, egg-free, soy-free, gluten-free, and agave-sweetened cakes and cookies. Because, #NoBread2019. Option B: Top Hops Beer Shop, a cozy hangout that offers specialty beers by the bottle or growler. Plus, cool bartenders and great music. It's all about the setting you want while you discuss your hopes and dreams together for the year ahead.
