Variety Abounds In The LES At Eastwood And The Metrograph Commissary
Eastwood is a chill Lower East Side spot with communal tables, a rustic-chic atmosphere, wine and beer on tap, and food. Get the fish & chips, falafel, a couple pints of beer, and you're well on your way to a great night. The Schnitzel here is to die for.
Next, head over to the Metrograph, one of our favorite movie theaters in New York. We always vote for a movie (so go for it if you're in the mood), but tonight we specifically recommend you head upstairs to their Commissary. It's one of those places that you'd have no idea was there unless you walked into this theater. It has stellar energy (probably because everyone is pumped up talking about films), delicious, hearty food and an all-around sexy, dark vibe to it. Apparently, it's inspired by the studio eateries from Hollywood's golden age, where stars would enjoy their meals alongside their producers. Who knew one of New York's hottest spots was hidden upstairs in a movie theater?
