Long Island City

A Bar Where Your Pup Can Join You + Michelin-Starred Mexican *Chef’s Kiss*

Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. quickly gained traction as a local favorite in Long Island City. Fifteen barrels pour brews with names like Flavor Gravy, Tasty Feelings, and Chokeberry Giggle Gaggle (described by Untappd as a Berliner Weisse Sour, in case you were wondering). And yes, your dog is welcome here, too! (Best third wheel ever, are we right?)

After drinks, meander over to Casa Enríque, a Michelin star-rated Mexican restaurant feeding patrons fare like tostadas de jaiba (crab in crispy tortilla with citrus, avocado, tomato, chile serrano, and cilantro) and chamorro de borrego al huaxamole (roasted pork ribs marinated in guajillo chilies, rice and beans). And, if you don’t already have too much of a brew buzz, try something funky from the bar like a aguachile margarita, a twist on the classic drink made with Serrano peppers and cucumbers.
