This French Restaurant Is Inspired By A Lumberjack Who Ran Away To America To Join The Circus
Start tonight at French-American spot French Louie. Owned by the same folks who run Buttermilk Channel, this spot is named for the 19th century, French-Canadian lumberjack, French Louie—a man beloved for his independent spirit and good cheer, who ran away to America to join the circus, and then live in the Adirondacks for the remainder of his life. We love the wooden bar and chocolate leather banquettes, all of which add up to a warm, chic and welcoming atmosphere.
After, head over to Eastville Comedy Club to round out a seriously spectacular night out. A 120-seat comedy club located right by the Barclays Center, Eastville has regularly scheduled open mics, special guest appearances from well-known comics—even the occasional comedy brunch. Check out their schedule here to plan your visit.
