This Bar In Times Square is Surprisingly Cosy and Surprisingly Doesn't Suck
If you hate singing and/or musical theater, turn back around because that’s in Gayle’s Broadway Rose’s DNA. But if that is your jam, you’re going to be obsessed with this place. Much like Ellen’s Stardust Diner, this restaurant employs wait staff who double as entertainment. Wait for them to sing their prepared songs or request your favorite tune. The menu is also stacked with good options, including a classic, diner-y milkshake.
Once you’ve had enough Broadway tunes for one night, head over to The Rum House, a cozy bar with fewer children, dimmer lights, and lots of booze. This place is a rare find in Times Square with its speakeasy vibe and romantic ambiance. You might hear some more music here, too, but it’ll be soft jazz, and it won’t be too loud. Per the bar’s name, the specialty is rum, and we suggest you get some.
