Get Cultural At This Often Overlooked Brooklyn Haunt

Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.

The Brooklyn Museum is a museum that is truly spectacular and deserves more mention. The exhibits currently on display are bound to get you talking—you can see them all here. They regularly host guided tours for free, so check the calendar ahead of time. They're closed on Monday and Tuesday, otherwise open until 6 p.m., and open late on Thursday's until 10 p.m. (where you may get lucky enough to attend an 'Art History Happy Hour').

Afterwards, head to Glady’s—a Caribbean restaurant nearby for island food and rum. A short and simple Caribbean menu (items like “whole fish” & “half chicken”), affordable cocktails and an extensive rum collection worthy of Jack Sparrow’s praise make Gladys’ the perfect end to an especially fun, cultural night out.
