Check Out This Warehouse Brewery That Serves Up Middle Eastern Fare From A Dive Next Door

Forget dimly lit, intimate vibes. This evening’s date night starts off at the bright and massive Grimm Artisanal Ales in East Williamsburg; a refurbished warehouse with fully exposed brewery fermentation tanks and everything from chicken shawarma melts to Za’atar wings that come courtesy of the nearby hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern dive Samesa. It’s a brewery that doesn’t look like your typical brewery and a restaurant that isn’t technically a restaurant, but it still offers the best of both worlds.
After dinner, head to Matt Torrey’s for a few more drinks. Though you’ll have likely had a solid fix of brews over dinner, this bar keeps things more traditional with its old-school aesthetic and cushy atmosphere. Contrasting dinner almost completely, you’ll be ending the night with low lighting, dark accents, and a traditional, though elevated, bar layout. But it’s the New York state sourced craft beer list that’s the real hook, with everywhere from Cooperstown to Queens stocked on tap.
