We Live For This Annual HP Lovecraft Festival
Extra Virgin is famed for its outward facing sidewalk tables for two on the corner of a quiet West Village street. They serve a variety of French and Italian fare with expertly crafted cocktails. It's definitely considered a "hot spot" on the weekends, but it's a pretty safe bet during the week.
But after Extra Virgin, we're going to church. St. John's is hosting its annual HP Lovecraft Festival, performed by the Radiotheatre troupe. Prepare to "enter into the spectral shadows of St. John's Sanctuary which has sat quietly for 190 years in the heart of historic Greenwich Village." Each night they'll perform a different story, live. See the lineup at their site to see what's on deck from now through late October.
