In Inwood, Indian Road Café is said to sit at the northernmost point on the island of Manhattan, and the food is pretty tops too. With a menu that is Hudson Valley farm-to-market, you can enjoy dishes like their signature three-cheese mac and cheese and double-cut duroc pork chop with bacon-braised kale without a sniff of pretension. They also offer craft beers, cocktails, and wines, along with a distinct coffee bar serving fair trade beans. Some nights also offer events, including quiz night, drag bingo, and live music (see their calendar of events here).
After dinner, head south to Liffy II Bar, a local Irish dive that's been around since the '60s. It's the perfect neighborhood bar where the drinks are cheap and the vibe is relaxed. There are comfy couches lining the walls that are perfect for settling in and chatting. If you're feeling like doing something a little more active, they also have a pool table for a little friendly competition between lovers.
