Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
This hookah lounge is a New York City classic, and perfect if you just want to lounge around and smoke something indoors without breaking any laws. Stay upstairs for a more chill vibe, or head downstairs on the weekends for a club atmosphere. With over two dozen hookah flavors (from classic apple to aromatic rose) and happy hour at the bar until 9, you're guaranteed to have a great night at Karma. By the way, if you're going after 9 p.m., check their website for the enforced dress code.
Next, head to Punjabi Deli, a counter-service Indian restaurant that's all vegetarian and cheap as hell. Samosas and pakora are $1.50 each, a plate with rice and three curries (like saag, paneer, and chana masala) is only $6.50, and a small bowl of rice pudding is $2. It's the best no-frills way to enjoy authentic Indian food at all hours of the night (oh yeah—did we mention it's open 24 hours?).
