Start this evening with a veritable feast at Le Garage, where mother-daughter duo Catherine and Rachel Allswang bring Norman flavors to Brooklyn. The restaurant combines the elegance and satisfaction of French cuisine with the post-industrial feel of Bushwick—a testament to Catherine’s experience as a Parisian restaurateur and Rachel’s architectural prowess. We like its high-low mix of sophisticated decor and concrete floors, and the seasonally inspired dishes like homemade ravioli with ricotta and sunchokes, and foie gras with kumquat compote. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have engagement chicken, and Le Garage has their chicken for two. While we can’t promise it’ll lead to a proposal, it’ll definitely be a decision you’ll be glad to have said “yes” to.
Part II of tonight brings you to Bushwick Public House, where you'll indulge in "coffee, whiskey, and culture". This place oozes with cool—the chill, cozy haunt stays open late and often features live music. Play some pool, have a coffee or a cocktail (depending on how the week is going), and take it easy.
