Discover Midtown's Hidden Gems at a Tiny Pie Bakery and Hidden Cabaret Theater
Start your evening with a pre-theatre snack at Little Pie Company near Times Square, a hidden gem among the bright lights of Broadway. Browse the cases of delicious desserts before picking your pie flavor of choice—the sour cream apple walnut pie is a crowd favorite. They sell them by the slice, or you can split a cute mini pie. They also have a selection of coffee and other beverages, and you can feel free to take a seat in a booth by the window while you dig into your dessert.
After your snack, head on over to the Laurie Beechman for some live entertainment. It might feel a little weird walking straight back into the dining room at The West Bank Cafe, but once you descend the stairs and enter the basement cabaret dining space, all will make sense. Here, you can see a variety of events and theatre shows—everything from concerts by up-and-coming composers and drag performers to cabaret performances from the theatre scene. Almost every show has a food or drink minimum, but you can use it as an excuse to order a fancy cocktail from the bar or to dine on a full pre-fixe menu. There is usually at least one show a night, and a calendar of events with links to purchase tickets can always be found on their website here.
