This Cocktail Lounge's Drink Menu Has An Ever-Changing Theme

Luthun, named after co-owner and chef Nahid Ahmed’s mom whom he lost when he was young, has put his heart and soul into the two tasting menus offered for $68 each (one with meat, the other vegetarian). There is also an extended tasting menu (10 courses rather than five) at the chef’s counter, and both have the same dessert—likely to throw your tastebuds for a delicious loop. Having both worked in some of the world’s finest restaurants, like The French Laundry and The Fat Duck, Ahmed and co-owner Chef Arjuna Bull change out the menus frequently in order to tap the best ingredients and their broad talents. They’ve created a really homey space for Luthun’s 29 seats with exposed brick and wood beams, a book nook and open kitchen.

Head to Pouring Ribbons, a cozy cocktail lounge for some creative after dinner drinks. Every six months the drinks menu changes to reflect a new theme such as Route 66, Revolutionary Artists, or Midnight Movies. The cocktails are developed by an all-star beverage team, helmed by Joaquín Simó, formerly of the speakeasy Death & Co., and are helpfully plotted on a matrix on a scale of refreshing to spirituous and comforting to adventurous.
