Grab A Nightcap At Old Rose In The Jane Hotel After An Epic Italian Dinner
Head to the West Village for this romantic two-parter. First up, a no-brainer for good Italian food in the West Village, Malaparte has fantastic pizza and pasta in a modest, charming atmosphere. Order several plates of carbs (we’re thinking the porcini pizza with truffle oil and the pesto rigatoni) and pair it with one of their light, fresh salads. Try to grab a seat by the large front windows — it’s great for people watching. We like that it’s a little bit out of the way and off the beaten path—it’s a dreamy date night destination.
Then, head to Old Rose—the new restaurant and bar located on the first floor of The Jane Hotel. Overlooking the Hudson River, Old Rose is open until midnight tonight, serving local craft beers, natural wines and specialty cocktails. We love that their drinks aren’t overpriced like most West Village hotel bars at just $11-13 for cocktails and draft beers around $7. Come back for a low-key dinner another night—they have several meat/fish options, pasta and pizza. Or come during the day—this place gets a lot of sun and is perfect for a mid-afternoon coffee date.
