This date has now expired. Check out fresh, new dates here!
Maman & Mimi, a new French-Algerian restaurant nestled in Nolita, is just the spot to enjoy an evening with a bottle of wine and your lover. Named after owner Jacques Ouari’s French grandmother Maman and Algerian grandfather Mimi, his restaurant aims to celebrate family and showcase the best of old world cuisine. Be sure to check out Sou-Sol, the fun and lively downstairs counterpart to Maman & Mimi’s upstairs space. With French-inspired cocktails, DJs mixing tracks, and a dance floor, you may find yourselves here till early dawn hours.
Once you’ve finished your wine, make your way to The Musket Room, a New Zealand restaurant whose elegance and rusticity has earned it a Michelin star. Here, experience a different version of the old world through New Zealand cooking that combines heritage with Asian influences and local offerings. Their dishes are all finished with herbs from the backyard garden, which looks all the more charming in the evening when the fairy lights are on. Aside from their a la carte options, you can also opt for either the “Short-” or “Long Story” tasting menu.
