Mel’s Burger Bar x Crypt Crawl
This plan has unfortunately expired. Check out new, fresh dates here.
Seeing as tonight is going to be pretty creepy, let’s start with some comfort food at Mel’s Burger Bar. With trendy decor that borrows inspiration from vintage ‘50s Americana (for example, the classic burger joint light-up marquee is now inside instead of on the roof, but you’ll still find the black and white checkered floors and tufted red leather booths), Mel’s Burger Crawl marries creative innovation with simple staples. Yeah, you can get a classic hamburger—but you’re also welcome to the mac ‘n cheese-stuffed Widowmaker or taco-inspired Fat Mexican.
Afterwards, go from Burger Bar to Crypt Crawl. Beneath the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine, the two of you will be lead through the church’s creepy crypts, where you’ll get to live out all of your ghost-hunting fantasies. Your tour guide will not only fill you in on the haunted deets beneath the church, but will also give you the 411 on the history of Halloween. Tickets are $25 ($20 if you’re a student), and there are tours running between 1pm and 5pm, depending on the day.
