Eat The Bulgogi Tacos That Beat Bobby Flay, Then Hit A Japanese-Italian Style Bar

Start this casual evening at Mira, a sushi bar boasting savory beef bulgogi tacos that are so good, they reigned supreme against Chef Bobby Flay’s take of the same dish on the Food Network program “Beat Bobby Flay.” The restaurant also services yakitori and buns, plus a seemingly endless sushi selection so you and your partner won’t have to have your own throw down over what rolls to order. Whiskey lover? Be sure to sample one of Mira’s rare Japanese whiskeys.
Then walk over to Bar B—Basta Pasta's new standing bar in Flatiron. The owners originally opened this "Japanese-style Italian" concept restaurant in Tokyo in 1995, and after much success, opened in New York. Now at Bar B, you can settle in for a glass of wine (they start at $8/glass) and another small plate if you're up for it—the skirt steak is well-worth the extra-full stomach. They're open 7 days a week from 4 p.m. to midnight. Warning: standing room only!
