No Pants Subway Ride x Bar 13
This plan has unfortunately expired! See what's new here.
This may be the coldest day in history to ride the subway without pants, but the annual tradition must endure! And who better to join in on the festivities with than your significant other? The No Pants Subway Ride was started in 2002 by Improv Everywhere with the singular goal of causing a scene, and that they did. You can read the entire history of the event here — it’s fascinating. In terms of today’s ride, here’s the gist: you and yours will gather at one of the seven meeting points throughout the city at 3 p.m., and the leader of your group will instruct you on your mission — what train to get on, when to casually remove your pants, how to act (totally natural) and more.
After the day’s deed is done, the entire No Pants crew is meeting up in Union Square at Bar 13 for the 7th annual No Pants Subway Ride after party. Cover is $15, with reasonably priced drink specials inside. Expect DJs Dirtyfinger, Shakey and Hamstaskin, as well as a pantless dance performance by The Flying Pants Brigade. RSVP via Facebook here.
