The Nothing Important Comedy Show Is Exactly What You Need When You're Burnt Out
Sometimes between the news, work, and train delays, your brain can only take in Nothing Important. Nothing Important is a free monthly comedy show that brings in a killer lineup with performers from Netflix, HBO, MTV, Conan, and more. The show is held at Friends and Lovers, a hip bar that brings in Brooklynites like moths to a flame (the flame being their multicolored string lights and disco ball). After the comedy show they host a wild dance party with top DJs, so throw down bills at the cash-only bar and slip onto the dance floor.
After working up a sweat on the dance floor, grab a bite at nearby Milk River Restaurant. Their upstairs lounge is home to lively shows and club nights, but the real appeal is the Caribbean and Asian inspired eats downstairs. Their small plates like the cod fritters and Thai wings are perfect for late night munchies. But, if you need something more to pair with their infamous rum punch, you can’t go wrong with the oxtail stew.
