NYC Marathon x Paola's x Noglu
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
It’s Marathon Sunday this year, and if you get chills just looking at the marathon route (it winds through all five boroughs!), creating a date night around this spectacular New York City event is required. We decided to focus your viewing party on the Upper East Side, because that's where the official cheering section is, and it's close to the finish line so you'll see all the runners in the homestretch. Pop to both of these places in between watching, cheering and getting inspired.
First, the two of you need to be well-fed while watching thousands of runners complete one of the hardest challenges we attempt as humans. Paolo's authentic Italian food (especially their spaghetti Pomodoro) should do the trick. Just don't feel too bad about yourself. You can get 'em next year!
Then, bend to your sweet tooth's whim at Noglu, a charming local bakery with three other locations in Paris, so you know it's legit. From vegan banana cake, eclairs and peanut butter cookies to apple bread pudding and chocolate tartlets, we haven't met a pastry here we didn't love.
Start: Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, Staten Island
