A Picturesque Mexican Restaurant In Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Right away, you’re going to fall in love with Oxomoco. Between the gorgeously minimalist exterior and garden-esque interior (special nod to the scattered skylights bordered with greenery that perfectly offsets the exposed white ceiling) and a bar backdrop that could double as an art exhibit at MoMA, Oxomoco is unapologetically hip/one with nature. And as far as food highlights go, the pork cheek carnitas and beef tartare tostada are major standouts. When it comes to dessert, just be careful—because having to choose between their mango upside down cake, hoja santa curd, and Oaxacan chocolate cake is a straight-up sin.
After dinner (assuming you can pull yourself away), head over to Ramona for some craft cocktails. This intimate setting is as grand as it is meticulously designed, with two floors, a sleek, mid-century-style bar dressed in marble, wood, and leather, and a glowing, minimalist aesthetic. And even though you can’t go wrong with drink options here, we highly recommend you try their whiskey-based Night Solo (with espresso, chicory root whiskey, bourbon cream, maple, heavy cream, and absinthe) and their vodka-based Two French Sisters (with St. Germain, lemon, orange bitters, and champagne).
