Little Italy might be touristy, but it's charming as all get out, and sometimes you just need a little charm. And a lot of good food. Enter Paesano, lower Manhattan's standby for red sauce pasta, fried calamari, and chicken parmigiana. This is the kind of place you go to when you know what you want (classic Italian) and you know how you want it made (perfectly).
After a very-NYC meal, head to something even more New York: a dive bar opened by a celebrity. Justin Theroux (aka Jennifer Aniston's ex husband) opened Ray's and it somehow looks like it’s been around since the 70s, with Western-style knick-knack decor, red Christmas lights, and warm lighting. With backing by alums from Freemans and The Smile, you'll get that dive bar experience with slightly elevated offerings and service.
