PizzArte x The Roof NY
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
If you ever felt that pizza deserved a seat alongside literal pieces of art, your wish has been granted. Midtown’s PizzArte is an ultra modern Italian restaurant that offers guests a two-in-one deal: enjoy some exquisitely delicious gourmet pizzas—like the cavolfiore e tartufo (with roasted cauliflower, mozzarella, sausage, and black truffle sauce) and the mortadella (with mozzarella, fresh ricotta, mortadella ham, and Sicilian pistachio)—and some fine art (that you can even add to your bill and take home, if you so choose). Their current art exhibit includes work from Korean artist Young Ja Kim and French artist Sophie Sejourne.
After dinner, go from modern to multistory at The Roof. Located at the very top of the Viceroy Hotel (hence the name), this upscale garden-esque lounge is the epitome of NYC summer bliss. With a view of Central Park, this indoor/outdoor lounge is ripe with sleek mid-century design, walnut wood furnishings, and brass accents rounding out the details, you’ll quickly see why The Roof is precisely where any New Yorker in love would want to cap off a night on the town. And whether you decide to stay inside or head outside to enjoy the nighttime summer air on their gorgeous terrace, be sure to try out some of their craft cocktails. We’re personally obsessed with Jane’s Addiction (with Jane Walker edition black label scotch, ginger liqueur, fresh lemon, and laphroaig) and their simple, but sophisticated, rooftop lemonade (with belvedere vodka, fresh squeezed lemonade, and mint spring).
