Room for Tea x Blaue Gans
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
Tonight is for all the city-living parents who need a night out on the town (shout out to the Voice of a Mom parenting blog and Instagram that inspired this plan!). And, while there will definitely be some lovely libations to savor later in the evening, tonight starts with a colorful come-down at Room for Tea, a brand new vibrant pop-up experience in Tribeca. Through a bold dive into the history of tea, this creative pop-up is divided into five sequences, including a Summer Boba Court packed with oversized pink bobas, an urban walk through love letter to Hong Kong’s trademark neon, a bright red curtain labyrinth, and more. Moving at your own pace (for once), this experience offers free tea tastings, a 40-minute tea ceremony experience (which is totally worth your precious, child-free time), and easily one of the most Instagram-able spaces in NYC.
Next, it’s time for dinner and drinks at Blaue Gans. With a hip, but rustic vibe, this restaurant is all about giving you a laid-back experience with zero cares (aside from how you’ll be spoiling yourself tonight). With a European bistro aesthetic (including weathered, reclaimed wood floors, a galvanized steel bar, and vintage art plastered all over the walls) and the smell of Austrian-German grub in the air (shout out to the Pork Jäger Schnitzel and Weiβwurst), this is the perfect place to eat with your hands, lose yourself in the ambiance, and, of course, get a little buzzed. We see no reason why you can’t double-fist a Ginger Bullet cocktail with a glass of Weihenstephaner wheat beer.
