SipSak x Upstairs at the Kimberly
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
First, head to SipSak for dinner. This chic bistro in Midtown is all about Turkish cuisine, Insta-friendly old-school elegance, and a picturesque entrance that deserves a selfie before entering (seriously, it should be a requirement). This romantic setting embraces its Turkish roots in pretty much every way—from the simple floral-happy decor and traditional bistro seating to a menu that gives dishes like manti (that’s beef dumplings with garlic spiced yogurt) and curry-crusted pan-fried calf’s liver cubes (wild concept, delicious flavor) a modern New York touch.
Next, head down the street and up some stairs to the Kimberly Hotel’s cocktail lounge, Upstairs at the Kimberly. With a posh ambiance, ritzy decor (shout-out to the sleek black tufted leather sofas), and an outdoor fireplace topped with a marble statue that’d make the Ancient Greeks jealous, this space feels exclusive as hell. Glance one way, and you’ve got sparkling views of the Chrysler Building; glance the other way, and you’ve got skilled mixologists making magic at the bar (we’re all about their stately gin-based Watson and their fit-for-royalty Vale of Tranquility).
