SriPraPhai x The Shining
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
With a two-decade run as a favorite in Woodside, Queens, it’s no surprise this popular Thai restaurant finally ended up with a Williamsburg outpost. Now much closer to inhabitants of Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan, SriPraPhai’s third location opened less than a month ago to rave reviews. Affordable yet delectable, couples can share specialty dishes from all over Thailand, including delights like beef laab and drunken noodles.
After you’ve indulged in Thai decadence, couples in the mood for something scary can make their way to Nitehawk Cinema’s Williamsburg location for a midnight screening of The Shining. This Stanley Kubrick classic based on the Stephen King novel of the same name follows Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson), an aspiring writer, as he takes on the role of caretaker at an isolated hotel. Shows at Nitehawk typically offer food and drink pairings to go with the film, but in this case we’ll advise staying away from the “redrum.”
