Check Out The New Museum In Nolita For Epic Contemporary Art
Pop by Manhattan’s New Museum, a beautiful home for contemporary art that’s often overlooked as people flock to the much more famous art spaces throughout the island. Now in its 40th year, this was New York’s first home for modern art as most of the other museums in the region focused on classical work. Open late on Thursdays (until 9 p.m.), it's our favorite mid-week pick-me-up. Check out what exhibits are currently showing here.
Next, make your way to family-owned Nolita favorite Rubirosa Ristorante. Known for its epic pizzas, the classic tomato and mozzarella pie made from the owners’ 50-year-old New York style recipe. Alternatively, you can take a walk on the wild side by splitting an arugula pizza topped with cherry tomatoes, onions and balsamic. And since you’re sharing anyway, we recommend pairing your meal a bottle of Italian wine before calling it a night.
