Drunk Black History at Littlefield Is Even Better Than The TV Show
For a place that still feels hole-in-the-wall and not too bougie in this popular Brooklyn neighborhood, start your night drinking at The Sackett. The cozy pub has red brick walls, a simple outdoor area, and a jukebox cranking out tunes. Expect a small but unique selection of draft beers for a good price plus paninis available to munch on. If that doesn’t interest you, they also allow outside food (Chinese takeout, anyone?) and have board games for the truly bored. It’s dog-friendly, so don't be surprised when one rubs by your leg.
After the bar, come see this month’s version of a drunken show at Littlefield by grabbing a ticket to Drunk Black History. Hosted by Brandon Collins and Gordon Baker-Bone, this show loosely follows the format of the popular TV series and will feature guests telling the stories of black historical figures while rip-roaring drunk. This month has talent from Netflix, HBO, and Comedy Central, and included the hilarious Dulce Sloan, so it’s sure to be both funny and mildly educational. The show is interactive, so feel free to come as drunk as the talent will be.
