Hungry for Italian food but not quite sure what you want? Vapiano in Union Square has a unique set up that's perfect for the undecided eater. Rather than being a sit down restaurant with one menu, the space has different food stations, each offering a specialty like pizza, or pasta, or salad. Just order what you want and watch as they make it in front of you with sauces and dressings made in-house. For your bill, everything is tracked on a smart-payment card, so you can visit all the stations (including the bar), have your card swiped, and then just pay at the end.
It might be hard, but you'll want to save some room for dessert at Max Brenner, a chocolate-themed restaurant. Get one of their flavors of specialty hot chocolate, served in a signature mug that invites you to embrace it in two hands. They also have a few varieties of chocolate fondue with all kinds of dipping options from churros to fruit to sponge cake. You can almost get lost in their dessert offerings like ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, cookies and cream, crepes, and waffles.
