Village Halloween Parade x Madame X
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
Arguably the most famous Halloween event in New York is the Village Halloween Parade, now in its 45th year. It’s like the Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade, only with insane/ingenious costumes, giant puppets and a massive spider crawling down a clock tower, all set against a spooky nighttime backdrop. We love it. We’d be crazy not to include it. At least throw on some sort of festive wear before you join the parade. The real Village crazies like to come out to this thing. Be two of them.
And, though it may be packed, try to snag a table at New York’s “sexiest bar”, Madame X, for a drink pre, mid or post-parade. They’re open until 2 a.m. so the choice is yours. Everything is bathed in a glowing red light which somehow feels like everything we want in a bar on Halloween. What is it about this holiday that’s so sexy? Whatever it is, do it up with your person here.
