Westville Hudson x Geeks OUT Cosplay & Pride Cruise
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
First, kick the night off with delicious simplicity. In Westville Hudson’s wide open space, you’re going to be drawn in right away by the floor-to-ceiling industrial window facade, black and white aesthetic, and laid back vibe. That said, the real draw is the food. Though traditional, their unique display of classic options like arugula & parmigiano reggiano and crispy polenta will have you obsessing. And if your cosplay outfit happens to need space, don’t worry—because there is plenty of space in Westville’s massive layout.
Once you’re good and fueled, make your way over to Pier 40 at Hudson River Park and step aboard their Geeks OUT sunset cruise. NYC Pride’s very first cosplay event will include “queer-positive graphic art,” as well as music (from Phi Phi O’Hara & DJ Cameron Cole), dancing, and more pride than you can shake a rainbow flag at. Tickets run for $35, docking starts at 6pm, and the event runs between 7 and 10pm. Just be sure that if your costume comes equipped with fake weapons, they can’t look or feel real (safety first).
