Winter Play: NYC Game Expo x Inakaya
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
If you’ve ever short-circuited after your S.O. told you that they wished they were your derivative so they could lie tangent to your curves, then we have the date for you. Make your date digital and head to Microsoft for Playcrafting’s annual Game Expo. Over 200 game developers will be exhibiting their latest games—both finished and unfinished—for the public. Explore the booths, meet the developers, and play-test the largest collection of New York-created games while fueling your competitive fire with pizza.
Keep your date electrifying and head to Inakaya on the ground floor of the New York Times Building. Here at this Manhattan outpost of the well-known, original Toyko robatayaki, the chefs keep things interesting. Traditionally, robatayakis are casual, neighborhood joints; this one takes its cue from Times Square. Chefs grill the food, then serve it to diners across the bar via long wooden paddles, all the while conducting call-and-response conversations with the servers on the floor. Hey, you know we couldn’t let you leave Times Square without dinner and a show.
