Wonderworld x Shelter
Bad news! This plan has expired. Go check out some great new ideas here.
Whether you’re an art lover or consider your curated Instagram feed the highest art known to man, you’ll enjoy bringing a date to the Wonderworld Pop-Up. This exhibition, back in Williamsburg after a run in Los Angeles, features eleven rooms filled with installations from up and coming artists. The vibe is very millennial, whimsical, and above all, Instagramable: think pale pink walls, vibrant lighting designs, and oversize props perfect for draping yourself across. If you loved the Rose Mansion, then you’ll want to move here. If you need some new couple shots to flex or just want to explore an adult playhouse, this exhibit is a go-to date spot.
When Wonderworld has your partner wondering when dinner is, lead them over to Shelter. This cozy spot has a woodsy lodge vibe, with exposed wood floors, deer antler chandeliers, overstuffed couches, all complete with the campfire smell of the fireplace. Speaking of fire, their woodfired pizzas are one of the main attractions, alongside a selection of empanadas and hearty sides like truffle mac and cheese. In addition to beer and wine, they have a number of intriguing cocktails like the Pornstar Martini, made with passion fruit puree, or Alice in Wonderland, mezcal, aperol, and absinthe concoction sure to have you feelin’ some type of way.
