Posh Lebanese Food & A Cozy Pub in Midtown
Step into some mood lighting at posh bi-level Lebanese restaurant Yara in Midtown and enjoy the sleek sophistication of plush whites, soft leather, and elegant brick spread throughout the space. It’s no surprise the insides appear so decadent; Yara is brought to you by Jacob Harb, once a VP at Porsche, in collaboration with his uncle Paul Hobeika, in homage to their Lebanese upbringing. The menu is vegan and carnivore friendly—so you and your date don’t have to compromise on dietary needs—and features housemade hummus, tabouli, lamb and chicken breast skewers, and grilled fish. Every dish is made from fresh ingredients and prepared in house. With room for 200, this is also a great space for a party.
Polish off your palette with a refreshing pint or two at Parnell’s, a warm, welcoming Irish pub just a few steps away and filled with charm. From the painted red exterior and bold gold lettering on the sign to the Tiffany lamps and red brick facades indoors, this spot creates a homey, traditional New York atmosphere—a nice respite from the onslaught of pubs that feel generic and cold. Bar bites and larger meals are available all day long, so you can certainly stay until hunger strikes again.
