Snag some authentic Shanghainese street food in Downtown Brooklyn at Yaso Tangbao, a fast-casual dining spot where you can share an assortment of ultra-flavorful dishes. Order at least one order of soup dumplings (get the spicy pork, topped with homemade chili oil!), then back it up with the sweet and sour pork ribs and a couple of steamed buns, with fillings like pork, curry chicken, or veggie.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, non-profit cultural organization BRIC offers free art programming to the public, from rad DJs and live music to poetry slams and dance performances. During the week, check out the gallery, offering a rotating selection of visiting artists' work that often reflects the cultural landscape and changing perceptions of New York City. When you visit and make a donation, you help keep the artistic spirit of Brooklyn alive (and see some cool art in the process).
