Celeb Couples' Favorite NYC Restaurants

Because sometimes, you just want to do it like John and Chrissy.

For many New Yorkers, there's nothing quite like the familiar — that one Italian restaurant in Little Italy (everyone's got one), the Thai place you always get your take-out from, or the bar around the corner where everyone knows your name (or, at the very least, the bartender knows your order).

And while we certainly understand the temptation to turn to a classic (if it ain't broke!), if you're looking to break out and up the glamour, try this — a celeb-adored restaurant. NYC being NYC, there's no shortage of them. And let's be honest: If Bey and Jay ate there, you can probably bet that it's damn good. That's money well spent, and a tummy made happy.

And, yes, it's not a bad way to role-play.

Grab your over-sized sunglasses and follow the stars! Who knows? You might even spot a pair along the way…

01

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend: Carbone

West Village

01

Carbone — 181 Thompson Street

Chrissy and John have been spotted dining all over NYC, but we're especially happy that this Italian institution is one of their favorites. Not only because the jazzed-up sauces are flawless — and they are — but because we happened to be sitting next to the pair last time they strolled in. (Such beauty. And such an appetite.)

idk tip: Good luck getting a reservation, however, because they're usually booked up weeks in advance.

02

Beyoncé and Jay Z: Miss Lily's

East Village

Beyoncé and Jay Z: Miss Lily's

Miss Lily's — 109 Avenue A

Bey loves the Caribbean vibes at Miss Lily's East Village outpost so much, she had her birthday here, too!

idk tip: It's all about the jerk chicken.

03

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick: Sant Ambroeus

West Village

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick: Sant Ambroeus

West Village

Sant Ambroeus — 259 West 4th Street

So the story goes, when SJP and Broderick do date night, they don't like to walk more than a block from their West Village abode. Convenient, then, that the UES gem with luxe Milanese food made it's way downtown.

idk tip — If you want the glitz without the price tag, just do dessert at Sant Ambroeus with — what else? — the Sant Ambroeus, chocolate mousse cake with a chocolate custard center.

04

Kim Kardashian-West and Kanye West: Serendipity 3

Upper East Side

04

Serendipity 3 — 225 E 60th Street

When Kimye took their babies here, Kim couldn't help but be all of us and Snapchat her Frrrozen Hot Chocolate order. (We get it, Kim; it's truly a gift from the gods.)

idk tip — When it comes to our cold/hot chocolate order, it's a tie between the Mint and the Peanut Butter.

05

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: O Ya

O Ya — 120 E 28th Street

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds: O Ya

Lively shared a pic from inside the upscale Japanese restaurant, considered by some to be NYC's best sushi, on Reynolds' birthday with this: "We fell in love at your restaurant in Boston. We stay in love at your restaurant in NY." Need we say more?

06

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski: La Esquina Soho

La Esquina — 114 Kenmare Street

Emily Blunt and John Krasinski: La Esquina Soho

La Esquina — 114 Kenmare Street

Okay, this Mexican eatery in SoHo isn't exclusive to Em and John (even one of our couples raved about it). But we'll follow our favorite Office and Devil Wears Prada stars whenever (and wherever) we can. And frankly, we still get a thrill knocking on the secret door and descending into this guacamole haven and tequila bar.

idk tip — The grilled corn. Always.

07

Amal and George Clooney: Patsy's Italian Restaurant

Midtown West

07

Patsy's — 236 W 56th Street

Apparently, when George took Amal and her mom to his favorite Italian restaurant in NYC, he was the one that laid off the carbs. (Big mistake, George. HUGE.)

08

Hillary and Bill Clinton: Red Rooster Harlem

Red Rooster — 310 Lenox Avenue, Harlem

Hillary and Bill Clinton: Red Rooster Harlem

No one — not even world leaders — are immune to the charms of Harlem's first fried chicken joint.

idk tip — Wait until the sun goes down, and you and everyone else can start dancing in the aisles to the '70s soul.

09

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Mailk: Tamarind Tribeca

Tamarind — 99 Hudson Street

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Mailk: Tamarind Tribeca

Tamarind — 99 Hudson Street

When the supermodel started dating the pop prince, he introduced her to his favorite Indian restaurant in TriBeCa, and they've been going in one direction ever since. (See what we did there?) (But seriously, it's their go-to!)

10

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez: The Mark Restaurant by Jean-Georges

Upper East Side

10

The Mark Restaurant — 25 E 77th Street

We confess, this was another one we saw in the flesh! And what a beautiful sight to see. They did their Mother's Day brunch here, but if you do dinner, we're going to point you to the burger. (Truffle dressing, yum.)
