A wise man once said, "After the party, it's the hotel lobby." However, at these spots, the hotel lobby IS the party.

01

The Bowery Hotel

335 Bowery, New York, NY 10003, United States

01

New York in the winter means an endless quest to stay warm indoors, and there’s no better way to do that than by basking in the heat of a crackling fireplace in the lobby of this ultra-chic hotel.

02

MADE Hotel

44 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001, United States

MADE Hotel

MADE Hotel has something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for a staycation or new hangout spot, their curated decor, range of events, and variety of dining and seating options make MADE a prime choice.

Dine at their tapas restaurant Debajo, grab a drink at Lobby Bar, check out live music performances on the rooftop, or on the weekends, snag a reservation at Good Behavior, their 18th floor lounge replete with floor-to-ceiling windows and 360-degree views of the city.

03

Ace Hotel New York

20 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001, United States

Ace Hotel New York

20 W 29th St, New York, NY 10001, United States

We love the Ace Hotel for many reasons, but mostly because it sort of feels like it's more for New Yorkers than tourists. They host a ton of events—from astrology-themed experiences to live music, book chats—even puzzle clubs. The lobby bar feels like a grand college library and if you can find a spot, we recommend never leaving.

04

Azul

525 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013, United States

04

Twenty stories up in the heart of SoHo exists a most perfect rooftop bar -- one with big open windows, panoramic views, and a chic modern interior. Outdoors, you'll find their Cuban Cantina-themed rooftop bar, Azul.

05

Arlo Lobby Bar

231 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013, USA

Arlo Lobby Bar

Unwind in an eclectic, but contemporary space over one of the lobby bar's 24 different New York-inspired cocktail options. The drink menu changes seasonally and your best bet is to go with the bartender's recommendation.

06

The Roxy Bar

2 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013, United States

The Roxy Bar

2 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013, United States

Cozy and modern usually don't go in the same sentence, but at The Roxy, they do. Situated in the heart of the Roxy Hotel in Tribeca, this high-ceiling solarium bar somehow retains its intimate, speakeasy feel. The menu is solid; think seasonal American fare paired with hand-crafted cocktails. The tufted leather couches remind us of a classy den and their stage hosts live entertainment from sunset to early hours of the morning (and on the weekends during brunch). Try East Coast oysters from the raw bar, while sipping the namesake cocktail with dark rum, sour cherry cordial, cinnamon, lime, and pineapple.

07

The Bar Room at The Beekman

123 Nassau St, New York, NY 10038, United States

07

The Beekman Hotel's Victorian library-esque lobby bar. Just next door to the Bar Room is Temple Court, a restaurant from award-winning chef Tom Colicchio.

08

Bar Calico

23 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10010, United States

Bar Calico

We feel like The Freehand is the best kept secret in Manhattan. On the first floor, you'll find a Latin-American restaurant (Comodo); on the second, a game room (Bar Calico) and restaurant/bar (Georgia Room & Ballroom); and on the rooftop, a tiki bar (The Broken Shaker).

09

The Lobby Bar at The EDITION

5 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10010, United States

The Lobby Bar at The EDITION

5 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10010, United States

Just outside MSP exists a hotel that exudes elegance and comfort: The EDITION. This hotel is known for more than its amazing-smelling lobby (the scent btw is Le Labo The Noir 29; you're welcome); it's also known for its luxurious lobby bar -- which is a great place to unwind or impress.

10

TWA Hotel

Terminal 5 (JFK International Airport), Queens, NY 11430, United States

10

The TWA Hotel takes Eero Saarinen’s landmark 1962 TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport, restoring and reimagining it as a hotel. If you're looking for a first class getaway without actually getting on a plane, this is the place for you. There are a ton of dining and drinking options, along with retail shops, a fitness center and even a museum. The best perk, however, is the rooftop infinity pool, which sits on the horizon of a thrilling scene—JFK’s bustling Runway 4 Left/22 Right, with views all the way to Jamaica Bay.
